Weekend Review ~ Read and Build Books By Lego

So I am back with my reviews, I know I love knowing what I am getting into, so I feel it is an important part of my blog.  Is there a product you want a review on?  I probably have it.   Especially if it is a little girls product! I swear I have every thing for girls known to woman!  So ask away, and I will review it if I have it!!  Or maybe I'll buy it  :)  I seem to always have one girl or another with a want or need.

I would like to come back every weekend and do this, so let me know if you find it helpful!!??

Today I"d love to introduce you to
the Read and Build books from Lego

They were pretty new on the market and I was curious because my youngest LOVES books, and she loves creative things.  So she got one for Christmas and one for her birthday a few weeks later.  And let me tell you she LOVES them!!  She constantly wants to play with them, she creates her own things with them but her favorite part is following the book along.  Then after the build and story she plays with them as a toy and the story has sparked her imagination.

The book actually has incredibly clear pictures showing each step of the way how to add another piece on.  And with each step is a cute little story.

Even my older girls love it, though I would not recommend it for much older than 5ish.  I will say tho my 5 year old gets a new sense of fun with it as she is learning to read, because instead of just making the toy, she can now read the story on her own as she builds, it gives her a new sense of confidence.

There you have it...
All and all i would say go out and buy every one because they are well worth their money!

hAPPy sunday!!

Cheesy right?   Well what do you expect from a mom of three little ones?

This weekend was incredibly envisioned to be productive and was exactly the opposite.  So I'm kinda bummed, however tomorrow is a NEW WEEK!

That being said I thought on Sundays I could share some of my favorite Apps, since with three kiddos a tech hubby and myself I have plenty of opinions and apps to share.  :)

The first one kinda compares with the almighty Pinterest...however, there is one little catchy that makes this one even more of a gem in some ways.

If you are like me you are not always where you can use 3g or Wifi, like the airplane etc.  Well if you mark a web page to "read it later" by using this app. It downloads the page, stores everything, you tag and sort it and it is all there for you.  Connection or not!  how great is that?!  I LOVE it, and it has been super user friendly.  So much in fact that they revamped it from "read it later" to "pocket" and it has a whole new interface that I just LOVE.

See there's all my pages with a picture, though you can choose list view if you want.
You can choose what to do with the page and favorite it if you want to find it fast.
You can even tag em with anything your little heart desires.  Pretty darn effective if you ask me.  So you can search by type, ie, jpg, video, web page etc.

So there ya have it.  My lil blurb about one of my favorite apps.

Try it out.  FREE is always a good price!

What is a favorite APP of yours?

Do you like Chocolate? Do you like cookies?

 What about chocolate chip cookies?
What am I saying, EVERYONE loves cookies!!

And you tell me WHAT mom wouldn't love a "baked out of the oven cookie, with out even having to turn the oven on!!!"  Ahhh I have your attention now don't I??

Ok so its review time, really.  I love giving HONEST feedback on products because I HATE wasting my time, its precious, and my money, cuz I'm cheap.  Ok well I need want more shoes.

Anyhow, I am a member of BZZ Agent.  Let me tell you, it is amazing, you get FULL sized FREE totally FREE (remember the cheap?) products to try and then share your opinion about and share some free samples and coupons.

So if you are interested in signing up, please go take a look at their page here, but make SURE if you tell them that alianalyssas mom referred you!  Ok?  Deal?

Anyhow, they signed me up for Kroger brand Chocolate Chip Cookies.

I was quite skeptical that any store brand cookie could be that good.  Good yes, but amazing?

Well let me tell you.

I got the box in the mail, and first of all they sent me TWO boxes.  So a few days after getting the kit, I decided to open them with my two youngest.

 What a little hamhock right?!
COOKIE, COOKIE mama!  She Loved her cookies!
Let me tell you, they really are AH-Mazing!!!  YUM.  Like a crunchy Chips a Hoy, but SOOOO much better!  Why you are wondering are they better?  Well first of all they are bigger, and really when it comes to cookies, bigger is always better!  And second of all they have an amazing amount of chocolate chips in them  They did not scrimp on these, and to this professed choc a holic, that is GREAT news!

So anyhow, on the package and in the kit it suggests warming them in the microwave.  This seemed an odd request, given their crumbly status.  I was very reluctant to try them this way.  But, I figured what can I loose.

LET ME TELL YOU.  I soooo shouldn't have waited to the last 3 cookies!!  Oh my golly gosh goodness, they taste like REAL OUT OF THE OVEN cookies!  They were sooooo moist and melty.  Oh goodness, I get giddy thinking of it!

However, after 2 cookies for each girl, I was sad to announce to Lissy today, when she asked for another cookie, that they were all gone.  Why she asked, the box is right there on the counter.  I had to admit to her that it was there because mommy had to steal the last three cookies I was saving for them!  OOOPS.

So, if you live by any type of Kroger store, one that sells the brand, go out and get your self some!!  And if you live by me, I still have 3 1$ off coupons, just leave me a message here and I will get it to ya!

Pipsqueak

No I am not talking about my youngest daughter, though she can be one at times, instead I am talking about my current review.

I told you a while back, didn't I, that I was going to start doing reviews? Well if I didn't, I am telling you now. :) I am a firm believer by the way, that "mom brain" exists the number of years you have children, after your youngest. So I have three daughters, so I am allowed "mom brain" till the K-bean is 3!!

Anywho back on track....I feel reviews are an important part of motherhood, a way for all of us to stick together, save each other money and share tips. So please if this is helpful, or you have something you want to know about that I, or someone reading, may have or have tried, leave a comment and ask away.

Today I wanted to tell you about the almighty colored pencil.

Bet you thought all colored pencils are created equal. Well I have recently figured out they are not. With three picture drawing, note writing, coloring lil princesses, we have tested every coloring mechanism on the market!
,
The newest try is Crayolas Pipsqueak colored pencils. They say "little pencil BIG color" and it is SOOOO true! Oh my goodness ladies, this is amazing. They color as bright as a crayon and they are sturdy and hold up to just about any type of coloring. (ie, the little chubby hand wrapped around it and pressing down so hard that no crayon tip could withstand the pressure)

They make beautiful pictures, the tips last, the color is vivid, and, get this, the best part is that they come with their own sharpener that is so easy to use, even a 4 year old can do it themselves! I have proof! :)

So go ahead, this is a purchase WORTH paying for!

Need to bust a gut?

I have the way for you to do it and it isn't like you think? Or if it is I am amazed there is someone out there just like me! Go now, run, get this book, "Rhyming Dust Bunnies" Make these guys your secret place, your guilty secret...

Ok so well I have a ton more I could blog about, and you might be more interested in, but after the day, wait, WEEK I've had I need to go mindless.
I mean I have had enough of the baby boogs for a while. My poor KK Bean fell pretty darn sick with what started as a cough and ended as her not being able to breathe and a high fever. Which then resulted in needing to be cared for, translation, held, all night long. So what do you get when you cross two parents with one baby that is sick? Total nothingness!!

Anyhow, like I said I probably won't make a whole lot of sense here so I best get to the point before I loose you!

I was at the book fair with my girls today at Alia's school and told Lissy she could pick a book, but as I was browsing waiting for her, I stumbled upon a gem that made me laugh out loud right there in the isle. I haven't done that to a children's book, well probably since I was a child myself! Or darn close to it! Reminds me of the joy we should feel when in the presence of our lil ones!

Reading it again tonight I was laughing as we went along.
I is the simplest of books, yet so darn stinking cute! I highly suggest getting it!!! If you need a pick me up just hide in your drawer and pull it out every time you feel like pouting like a tantruming toddler! It is bound to make you forget exactly what you were upset with in the first place!

Its about these poor lil dust bunnies who rhyme, but one lil guy just doesn't seem to get it right. But in the end it was he who turned out to be the smartest lil dust speck of all! You'll laugh as you hear them scold poor dust bunny #4, and you'll start to put the puzzle together that this lil guy is trying to tell you!

Let me know if you read this one! Really, I would love your opinion!!!

Aquaphor ~ diaper rash, dry skin, your lips...

This stuff is the BEST BEST BEST

I wouldn't use anything else!
I was first introduced into it as a part of sever diaper rash treatment. You apply the aquaphor then triple paste, and I SWEAR in an HOUR it was GONE!!! Or if you area new mom and have found out like me that not only those tiny little cute bottoms hurt, try it for yourself.

So anyhow I learned this stuff is GREAT if you have really chapped lips, because it doesn't have any of the addictive stuff added. You will get beautiful lips in days!

Also if you or your child has Eczema it is a great fix for it. Just apply to the scab area, there is no pain and it heals it quickly.

They come in the tubs, small tubes, and even smaller chapstick size tubes. I keep em everywhere!

Pick some up today, you will NOT be sorry!

Mother Tucker Compression Tank

Yep this tank gets smiles from me! It may be pricey, however when you have had three children in 4 years, I will tell you this is a new Mommy's best friend!

My silhouette looked wonderful in this tank and I am very excited to fool everyone around me into thinking that I have slimmed down so well. When the truth be told, I can't seem to stay away from the Dove chocolates!

The only problem with this tank might be the fact that you need a small army to help you take it off. I was a bit nervous putting it on because it got to about my boobs and then squeezed me in so tight I wondered if it would go around that unsightly bulge, but alas! It did! And I love it! I recommend it to anyone wanting to have a sleek image for a few hours!
